This wine is made from the very finest grapes with extremely low yields. 25% of the wine is aged "sur lie" in French Allier oak barriques for 10 months. Another 10 months of aging in tank is followed by bottling. This wine won a Gold Medal at the "Mondial du Vin" in Brussels. Rich and flavorful. Served best well-chilled as an elegant aperitif and delicious accompaniment to appetizers such as tuna tartar or crab claws. It's also wonderful with fresh seafood and light pasta dishes with chicken and vegetables. | ||

The wine which is produced from the grape of the same name has been grown for hundreds of years and evolved into a beautiful white wine of pale golden color, fresh, smooth, dry and agreeably rounded. It is generally best consumed within the first two years and is an elegant table wine. Tenuta Torciano produces an excellent Vernaccia for us with rich, complex depth of flavor far beyond most dry whites produced anywhere in Italy. Just a hint of ripe citrus, some bitter almond and a mildly buttery texture. | ||
